The iPhone has only just been introduced, and already some have been broken. Repair technicians at iFixYouri who have tested the durability of the iPhone are reporting that “the glass in the iPhone 4 may be more prone to breaking than its predecessors.” iFixYouri dropped the iPhone 4, from 3.5 feet, they repeated this step until the third drop eventually caused the entire front surface to crack and damage the device’s external chassis. According to the site the problem lies in the placement of the glass.
It’s not surprising that Apple will release their own protective case “bumper”. The problem is that since the new iPhone has glass on both sides, they are much more susceptible to breaking. Now you will have to consider exactly where you are putting your phone down or you will run the risk of scratching both sides.
Apple has only just introduced the iPhone 4 and it is already on the way to breaking new records. According to sources Apple is accumulating millions of iPhone components, which is expected to help the phone break the 10 million units mark, for units sold in one fiscal quarter.
Apparently Asia Optical has shipped an average of 3 million VGA lenses for the iPhone 4’s front-facing digital camera, since May 2010, The chairman, of Asia Optical, Robert Lai, confirmed that Apple’s orders mean up to 30 percent higher revenue for the company. Not only is this good news for the company, but also great news for the customers, since it suggests that Apple is stockpiling a whole lot of units.
This might be as a response to to fact that earlier in the year the higher-than-expected demand caused shortages and delays for iPad customers. In fact, the international launch was pushed back about a month due to supply and demand trouble. this is definitely something Apple wants to avoid with iPhone 4.

While it was previously assumed that the iPhone 4 would only be available in Apple stores as well as through AT&T, it now seems as if Walmart can be added to the list of distributors on the launch day of June 24.
The reason for this is very simple, logistics, since the demand of the new iPhone is likely to be very high, allowing customers to purchase the phones from several different places will most likely lower the run on the individual shops, and thus alleviate some of the stress that would otherwise rest with Apple and AT&T. Furthermore according to sources both Best Buy and Radio Shack will also be selling the iPhone on the release date.
This will be the first time that Walmart will be selling the iPhone on a launch day of the device. As we have mentioned in the past, it used to be that only previous versions of the iPhone were sold through Walmart and at a much later date, it should however be noted that Walmart will not be offering the ability to pre-order the iPhone.
