According to several sites Apple has dropped the price of the Mac mini in international markets this morning. According to Macerkopf.de, the change is reflected in all markets not priced in U.S. dollars.
In the UK, prices of the two Mac mini models dropped from:
£649 to £599 for the 2.4 GHz
£929 to £879 for the 2.66 GHz server version
while in other European countries prices dropped from:
809 euro to 709 euro for the 2.4 GHz
1149 euro to 999 euro for the 2.66 GHz server version
The current prices in the U.S. however haven’t changed and are still $699 and $999 for the two Mac mini models.
We think its a good idea for Apple to change the prices on the International markets once in a while since many people have been complaining that the prices have been too high. Perhaps this is a good incentive for people to get a Mac for the holiday season.
