2011 causes Apple clock bug.

Clock

Millions of iPhone users woke up, or didn’t to find that their precious phone wasn’t working as expected, according to findings first reported by Engadget a bug in the iPhone clock app prevents non-recurring alarms from properly triggering on New Years day.

Personally I realized this bug when my alarm failed to go off at 9 a.m. this morning, after a quick search on google I realized I wasn’t alone, according to the web the bug appears at 12:00 a.m. on January 1, 2011.

So far all that is known is that you can work around the problem by setting up the alarm as a recurring event. According to 9to5Mac the problem will fix itself after January 3rd, so until then make sure you have more than one alarm clock set in the house, or just set the alarm as recurring.
