After last weeks release of the iPhone 4S, Apple has opened up iPhone 4S pre-orders through its online store for an additional 22 countries, where the Cupertino company will launch the device a week today, on Friday, October 28.
Following its launch in the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Australia, France, Germany, and Japan on October 14, the iPhone 4S will extend to another 22 countries next week, including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
The iPhone 4S is available unlocked in a number of the new regions, unlike the U.S. and Japan where it’s currently only available with a carrier commitment. However, the U.S. is set to get the unlocked iPhone 4S in November, which will enable those currently stuck in a contract to upgrade early without a new commitment.
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 4S in an additional 70 countries by the end of the year.
