Adobe brings updated Photoshop Elements 10 to The Mac App Store.

Adobe is just one of the big-name developers that was quick to embrace the Mac App Store when it launched earlier this year, and today it has increased its presence with the launch of two “special edition” applications called Photoshop Elements 10 Editor and Premiere Elements 10 Editor.

Both applications are $79 each, which is cheaper than the $99.99 retail versions, but they don’t quite provide all of the same features.Other than the absence of a few features, however, Adobe promises the Mac App Store releases include “all the editing features available in the full version.”

Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Editor is a photo editor that seems to be aimed at iPhoto users who are looking for a little extra. It “works great with iPhoto when you’re ready to go beyond the basics,” according to Adobe, and promises to take your photos from “flawed to phenomenal in seconds.”

Adobe Premiere Elements 10 Editor  is a video editor that is similarly targeted at those using iMovie, and features a ton of features that will help you turn your home movie clips into highly polished masterpieces, fixing shaky footage, adding effects and transitions, and more.

Both downloads weigh in at just under 1GB and require Mac OS 10.6.6 or later.
